Vredestein
The ideal choice for mid-range tyres
Vredestein has its roots in the Netherlands, but you will find their tyres on many cars across the world today, more than 100 years after they were first developed.
It’s been 60 years since they created their first winter tyre for passenger cars. They have continued to develop their knowledge and expertise in this area to provide a modern range of tyres relied upon for their grip and performance in all conditions.
The history of Vredestein
Vredestein was founded in 1908 in Delft, Netherlands – arguably more famous for its pottery than for tyres. The company was founded by Emile Louis Constant Schiff, and its headquarters are today based in Amsterdam.
Vredestein tyres are still rolling off production lines today, well over a century later. However, they’ve gone through quite a renaissance over the intervening years. Two years after the company was formed, they produced their first bicycle tyre. Another two years passed before they created their first car tyre – and the road towards today’s range of Vredestein tyres began.
Vredestein tyres today
While some tyre manufacturers focus on car tyres of all kinds, Vredestein has a much wider scope. You can find a complete range of car tyres for all eventualities and requirements, but you can also purchase tyres for agricultural and industrial vehicles. As a testament to their origins, they still produce bicycle tyres as well.
While they have established themselves as fine purveyors of winter tyres, they have also produced all-season tyres that provide excellent and versatile performances throughout the year. The Quatrac 5 is a good example of this, offering great handling and an outstanding level of safety. You can also look through the Comtrac range of all-season tyres, offering safety and comfort throughout.
And to complete the range, you can also expect to find multiple options to consider if you’re a fair-weather driver. The Comtrac 2 provides comfort on the road and the utmost efficiency in dry and warm conditions, for example.
Finding the right Vredestein tyres for you
As we have seen, whatever vehicle you drive, you can rely on finding a range of options for new tyres from Vredestein. Many tyres are available in several sizes – up to 164 in the case of the Quatrac Pro+ all-season tyre. Chances are you can easily find the most appealing tyre to fit your vehicle.
If you’re searching for a summer tyre offering outstanding sportiness and great control for powerful cars, check out the Ultrac range, with the Vorti and Vorti R models available in plenty of sizes.

Settling into the mid-range tyre arena, they’ve come up with some of the best tyre designs with performances to match.
